GR8 Designs is a locally owned and operated graphic & website design studio in Courtice, Ontario [Clarington [Durham Region] by Owner / Designer Peter MacKellar. We have been in business for almost a decade now and our best form of advertising has been word of mouth. Our friends have become clients and our clients have become friends.

Why the Hockey Stick? and Why '8'?

Before starting GR8 Designs, 'Mack' enjoyed a diverse career as a Pro Hockey Player wearing #8 since the age of 5. Also he was the Senior Graphic Designer for Premier Hockey Magazine. Growing up he was a artist by hand who has transferred this to the computer design aspect.

More About Owner Peter MacKellar

Peter is a graduate of the University of New Brunswick '00 and also attended Georgian College and St. Clair College while playing Hockey at various levels.

He has won a Memorial Cup, a CIAU Championship and recently has been to the Allan Cup Finals three straight years with the Whitby Dunlops [as #8] where he has served as Captain for 6 straight years and counting. He also proudly serves as a Firefighter for Clarington [Courtice].

As well as serving the Clarington / Durham Region and immediate area, we have also worked on projects as far as Westernand Eastern Canada, Australia and various parts of the U.S.
